How healthy do you think you are?
Across the ages four fifths of girls (81%)
describe themselves as healthy and one fifth (17%) as not healthy.
Broken down further, a quarter of girls (25%) say that they are
very healthy, just over half (56%) quite healthy, one in six (15%)
not very healthy and 2% not at all healthy.
How happy are you with the way you look?
A majority of girls 73% are satisfied with the
way they look; of these 28% say that they are very happy with the
way they look and 45% are quite happy. One in five (19%) are not
very happy with the way they look and 7% are not at all happy.
Girls from minority ethnic backgrounds are marginally more likely
to describe themselves as very happy with their appearance (34%
compared to 25% of white girls) and slightly less likely to say
that they are not very happy with their appearance (17% compared to
20%), though the differences are not significant.
